This is a team of parishioners who visit individuals and groups, usually in their homes, to offer a caring face from St Stephen’s. The team has friendship at its heart and shares this philosophy with those they visit. For more information, please contact Lindsey Coulthard

This social group for the ‘over 55s’ meets for a varied programme of activities. We meet at the church on the first and third Monday of each month at 2.30 pm. Please check our poster in church or the weekly pew sheet for upcoming events. For more details contact Christine Allen on christinea@gardener.com 

A recent outing to The Cob House on Monday 25^th April and a very special birthday for Jenny.

Housegroup was started in Spring 2005 with the aim of developing fellowship, teaching, and discipleship.

We meet weekly during term time and have used many and varied study materials as a starting point for discussions.

The sessions give each of us an opportunity to explore  our faith and to benefit from each other's experience. In the past we have studied books of the Bible or maybe a topic and we usually use relevant materials for the Church seasons, ie Advent and Lent.

We also share House Communion with a member of Clergy joining us and most terms we have a social activity, maybe a meal out or trip .

The meetings are open to all and don't worry if you can only attend from time to time - you will still be most welcome.

The Choir contributes to worship by offering prayers through music and leading the singing during services. New members are welcome. 

Bell Ringing

We have a ring of 8 bells in the church tower which were installed in 2013.  If you are interested in joining our enthusiastic team of ringers then contact Beryl Thorp on W.453818.  Bell ringing practice is on Thursday evenings.

We welcome bands of experienced ringers from anywhere in the country to come and ring our bells.  If you wish to arrange a visit please contact Sue Kington, Tower secretary, on susankington@hotmail.com or ring 07584638062

A group of people who meet on the second Saturday of each month to walk in the countryside, at a fairly leisurely pace, including a visit to local hostelry. Everyone is welcome to take part - please talk to Adrian Everett for more information. or email him on adrian_d_everett@hotmail.com
