Ministry,
Serving, Readers and Intercessors
A large number of
members of our congregation participate in services as readers and intercessors (leading prayers) and in the ministry and serving team. New members are always welcome - if you would like to join in
this ministry, please talk to Andy Todd, or a member of the PCC.
Church-sitters
and Sidespersons
A number of people
enable St Stephen’s to be open to the public during ‘Open Church’.
Sidespersons assist
the Churchwardens in the smooth running of services in Church.
If you would like to
join either the church-sitting or sidespersons teams, please talk to Andy Todd, Linsdey Coulthard or Michelle Walsh.
Church
Flowers
Individuals provide and
arrange the flowers in Church on a rota basis. If you would like to join this small team please talk to Barbara Everett or Ann Booth.
Church Cleaning
and Churchyard Maintenance
Carried out by a number
of volunteers who organise themselves to ensure the fabric of the Church always presents a warm welcome. More people to lend a hand are always welcome. If you feel you can spare some time to help
please talk to Michelle Walsh.
Tea
and Coffee Group
Tea and coffee is provided in the Bishop Allenby Hall after the 10.00 am Family Communion service on Sunday mornings, and this group take it in turns to make the drinks and then clear the hall. The task requires around 10 minutes before the service and about an hour after the service and we need more people to help out: please contact Ruth Scotson if you are able to help this service to continue.
